Another year has come and gone, a new one has begun. I guess the new year makes us all wonder a bit about what has been and what is to come, and for me that looks like trying to think about what's next, where do I go from here, how is my life being used- all the kinds of questions that I imagine we all have. This year has been a good one, although so different from the ones before. It's been one full of new people, new places, new experiences- all good things, but sometimes all this new-ness is a bit too much. Sometimes I've found myself longing for some of the old stuff- old friends, old places, old experiences- which are all good things too. Is there a balance? Who knows? But, I think life's supposed to be this way- full of the old
and new, full of joy
and sorrow, full of the good
and the messy. Right? I sure hope so.
I was reading my friend
Abbye's blog the other day, and she said this, "
Once more, another year later, we remember that joy and sorrow can dwell together; after all, the rest of us do..." Yep. I think so.
So far this year, I've...
Rung in the New year with my mom in Paris. Doesn't get much better than that.
Finally sent this quilt off to my friends LeeAnn and Blake after it sitting in my house like this for 4 months.
Experienced Amsterdam with my friend Anna.
Here's to 2012! Can't wait to see what happens next!
