New things and hints of fall...

Well, yesterday I put a deposit on this little gem of a car...

It's a 2001 Nissan Micra (which we don't have in the US, in case you were wondering).  It's a tiny little car, but a very affordable car.  I can only hope we will get along as well as me and my little Cavalier have for the past 7 years.

This weekend was another sunny one, and today we went to a nearby park to soak in some of the sun before it leaves for the winter, and look what I found...

A little bit of fall!  Which made for one happy girl.

This week is our LAST week of training.  Which is exciting and slightly terrifying all at the same time.  But, definitely good.

And Wednesday I will, for the very first time, celebrate my birthday in a country other than the US.  I like it.

  1. Adrienne,
I'm enjoying your blog and getting glimpses of your world in Swansea. I hadn't thought about those UK folks just ignoring the fall season--how sad. Sounds like you need to be shipped some Libby's canned pumpkin. The leaves are starting to turn here and each day has more color and the "crunching" sound happens when you take a walk. Jim and I spent a day in Rhosilli when we visited Caroline and I remember the drive through hedge rows, all the sheep and the gorgeous cliffs. It was very cold, but sunny that November day. Still missing you but thankful for your new job, new relationships and the adventure of it all. Love, Jan

  2. Your car is so little and European looking! What exactly will you be doing at your job?
