Comin' Home Part 2: The Cabin

So, Michael, Sarah, Simon, and I travelled 414 miles across the state of Tennessee and ended up in Townsend, TN where I spent the next several days here...

Laura and Lee were waiting for us when we arrived as well as some other Michigan friends.  The next day Matthew and Katie came as well.  We spent a whole lot of time doing nothing, which of course included sitting in the river a lot when it was too hot to do anything else.

Napping.

And squeezing in as many summery things as I could.

Basically, just a lot of time being together.  I loved it.

Also, Simon's first river swimming experience.  I think he loved it too.  And I won Scrabble.  Just sayin'.

I'm so glad that we got to do this again this year, and even more thankful for people who make an effort to be there.  It really meant a lot to me.

*again, these pictures are all from my phone, so sorry they aren't great. also, sorry there aren't very many, apparently this is where my picture taking slows down...oops.

Today marks the one year anniversary of moving to Wales.  Hard to believe, right?  I cannot believe it's been a year.  So much has happened in the last year, yet I feel like it has flown by.  I'm excited to see what the next year holds! Today is the last bank holiday before Christmas, so no one is working today.  A good way to celebrate this day, I think.  I spent the morning at a near-by beach just reading and writing.  It was beautiful, and I was the only one at the beach for about an hour or so.  It was amazing- just me and the waves.
