This was their first trip to London, and therefore very exciting! Our purpose for going was to see Harry Potter. In London. Because that's where Harry's from. A bit dorky? Yes. And I love it.
We went up Saturday morning, and had all Saturday afternoon and evening for them to see all the typical London sights. We walked along the river, saw the Tower Bridge, St. Paul's, Big Ben, Parliament, London Eye, and Westminister Abbey.
Then we hopped over to Covent Gardens where we has some delicious MEXICAN food (which we have been missing) at Wahaca. Very tasty. And really affordable for London. Then we went to see the midnight showing of Harry Potter at the IMAX theatre. We even had Diet Coke with ice. We loved every second of it.
On Sunday, Cherie, Kelly, and I went to see the changing of the guards at Buckingham Palace and then walked around Leicester Square. Then, we had lunch in Chinatown. Overall, a very good trip. And now they have experienced London, and will hopefully go back many more times.
Oh, and by the way, in case you haven't heard. Prince William is recently engaged to Kate Middleton. And do you know what that means? Holiday for us!! Wahoo! We get an extra day off for the wedding. You can't get much better than that!
I will update soon on Thanksgiving in Wales and my trip to Prague. Stay in touch!
